PhD research on water supply institutions and markets

Amandeep Kaur Kang, Ph. D student of Middlesex University visited Bangladesh during 6-24 May to pilot surveys on water provisions in urban slums of Dhaka. She visited some of the slums and tested her questionnaire.

Masters Student dissertation on peri-urban flood hazard in Dhaka

Md. Nafeesur Rahman completed his Masters in Development Studies at Independent University, Bangladesh. Fieldwork for his thesis on “Flood Hazard and Flood Prevention in Peri-urban areas of Dhaka - Considering Development in Social Perspective” was undertaken during January-May 2006 with a small grant and advice under the MU-IUB link programme in flood hazard.
